Adult Social Care Surveys

Overview and results for the statutory adult social care surveys.

Our surveys

As part of our statutory duties, The Council is required to undertake two surveys on behalf of NHS Digital

There are two surveys the Adult Social Care Survey (ASCS), which is run every year, and the Survey of Adult Carers in England (SACE), which is run every two years.

The information is used by NHS Digital to provide a country wide picture of adult social care services, which supports transparency and accountability and identify areas where outcomes can be improved.

Carers Survey 2022

The Survey of Adult Carers in England (SACE) was run in October 2021. The survey asks participants to answer a set of questions relating to their caring role and responsibilities as well as their opinions on their quality of life.

695 carers were selected at random from the Council’s social care case management system and invited to participate in the survey.

Responses were collated and submitted to NHS Digital who analysed the data and published their results in June 2022.

The Council have also produced their own local report for this survey.
