Library membership is free for everyone!

If you would like to become a library member the best way to do it is to visit your local library with proof of your name and address.

However if you don't have time right now or just want to browse our eLibrary and eResources collections, or reserve a book to pick up when you have time to get to the library, you can join online instantly instead.

Please note – you do not need to sign up to a digital account if you already have a library membership.

Join online

There are four main types of library membership.

Full Library Membership

To get a Full Library Membership you will have to visit a library and show proof of your name (photographic evidence such as passport or driving license) and address (recent utility bill etc) to a member of library staff.

Digital Library Membership

Digital Membership allows you to access our free eBook, eAudiobook and eMagazine collections as well as a wealth of other online resources. You will be able to use your membership online straightway and reserve a book to pick up from the library of your choice.

Children's Library Membership (0-12 years)

For children aged between 0 and 12 years to get Full Library Membership you need to visit the library in person and a parent or guardian must sign for Full Library Membership.

Children and teenagers aged 8 - 16 years can join online using the Digital Membership form and get instant access to the eLibrary and eResources.

Young People's Library Membership (13-19 years)

For young people aged under 16 to get Full Library Membership, which includes access to computers and the internet, they can visit their local library with a parent or guarantor. They can also join online using the Digital Membership form and get instant access to the eLibrary and eResources.

I have lost my library card

If you have lost your library card, please visit a Worcestershire library and let a member of staff know and they can give you a replacement card.

If you don’t have time to visit your library to report a lost card, please email the staff so we can cancel your card until you can make it to the library.
