Multiply

Multiply

Working in partnership with colleges and training providers across the county to deliver the Multiply project to our residents who are aged 19+.

Worcestershire County Council are working in partnership with colleges and training providers across the county to deliver the Multiply project to our residents who are aged 19+ and who do not currently have a GCSE at Grade C (or equivalent).

Multiply is a new government-funded programme to help adults improve numeracy skills. Through Multiply, we want to help boost confidence and ability to use maths and numbers effectively in daily life, at home and work.

Good numeracy skills can unlock job opportunities or prepare you for further study. They also help in everyday life, such as helping children with homework and budgeting money.

To speak to someone about Multiply please call 0300 666 3 666 or use the email details at the bottom of this page.

Multiply courses are free to anyone in Worcestershire aged 19+

Our partners across the county are offering short, free courses to help people navigate the current cost of living climate, courses to help people manage their household budget, courses to enable parents to support their children and understand their maths homework, alongside a variety of online and face to face everyday maths options.

There are courses for beginners to more advanced courses such as GCSE Maths, Functional Skills Qualifications, or equivalent. With such a variety of learning set-ups and content, learners will be able to learn at a pace that suits them.

Employed residents can access support too

Several of our partners are working with employers to upskill their existing workforce to give employees wider opportunities for promotion and many partners are discussing with local employers, the specific numeracy skills they are looking for in potential applicants to their vacancies so that these skills gaps can be addressed through the Multiply activities.

Through Multiply we also want to give people the skills, motivation, and confidence to enable them to join a formal qualification to open doors to new jobs, career progression and/or further study.

Check your numeracy level

You can take a short quiz to understand areas of numeracy you might want to improve.

The questions have no pass/fail mark and are multiple choice. You can visit the website below to take the quiz, that should take around 5 minutes to complete.
