SCULPT also helps with widening awareness beyond the workplace too. Some of our staff are now noticing challenges for people in everyday life, such as poor colour contrast on cereal packets and shop signs.
It also helps the whole organisation contribute to more accessible and inclusive content on your websites, intranets and internal systems.
SCULPT is free to use
SCULPT for Accessibility is not a product, it is about spreading good practice and underpinning the need for workforce up-skilling for digital inclusion.
It is currently licensed under a Creative Commons not for profit share and share alike license. That means it can be used by anyone and everyone.
Not every workplace is the same, and our model of practice might not be quite right for you, so you may adapt our workforce model to suit your own needs. We hope as our case studies of wider adoptions grow you may find some great examples in a similar context or organisation to best suit your implementation needs.

Where SCULPT fits into the web accessibility regulations
SCULPT is just the very basic principles of digital accessibility, it’s for the wider workforce to adopt. It is not part of the web accessibility regulations, that is the legal set of standards for your website.
SCULPT can merely help as a tool to ensure your whole organisation plays its part in embedding and embracing digital accessibility, as well as apply digital inclusive principles in everyday practice.
If your wider workforce can apply these basics, it means your specialist web teams can fully focus on the more complex and specialist WCAG guidelines that need to be addressed for full compliance of the web accessibility regulations. Documents made by your workforce using SCULPT can help save your web team precious and considerable time not having to unpick or reformat inaccessible content.

- the Learning and development team can plan for training and support resources to help upskill your workforce to be digitally inclusive
- your Senior leadership and HR can embrace the challenge, set the example, and weave it into the appraisal process as an expectation of all employees
