Short breaks project (SEND co-production)

Short breaks project (SEND co-production)

Short breaks are activities or services that offer a break for both the child or young person and their family.

See project details in an easy read document here:

Project start date: July 2025

Project end date: Currently ongoing

About the project

Short breaks are activities or services that offer a break for both the child or young person and their family.

These breaks can involve various activities, from day trips to longer overnight stays, and they aim to provide opportunities for children to engage in enjoyable experiences, develop new skills and independence, and for parents to have a break from their caring responsibilities.

Worcestershire would like to find out what activities children and young people (CYP) would like short break organisers to provide and what a perfect day would look like from a child's perspective.
