About the project

The project aims:

  • to achieve excellent provision from early years to adulthood to ensure children and young people (CYP) with SEND are prepared to thrive in employment and or higher education
  • to ensure that the voices of all CYP with SEND or in alternative provision and their families are effectively heard and no group is disadvantaged in securing timely access to the right provision
  • to intervene earlier in a CYP's life for a system that is genuinely focused on early identification and intervention

Outputs

What we are doing and what have we done:

  • visits to schools and groups to gather feedback
  • shared with Voices United Forum to gather feedback
  • Microsoft form created for CYP contributions
  • working with inclusion team to co-design workshops and training

Outcomes

The difference this makes to CYP:

  • CYP informing workshops and training for practitioners with their lived experiences

Impact

The difference this makes to policies, services and workforce:

  • this will inform the change programme resources and materials for practitioners
