Who are the Care Quality Commission (CQC)?

CQC is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They help to ensure regulated health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care services to improve. They monitor, inspect, and regulate services and publish information about services which is available to the public. Where they find poor care, they will use their powers to take action.
