TechOne Finance is the Council's new finance system and will replace the current e5 system.

The Council have partnered with Technology One to implement a new Finance System. TechOne Finance will replace the current e5 system.

What will change

Although the finance system is an internal system that will be primarily used by council employees, if you supply goods or services to the council or receive invoices from us you may notice some changes.

For the moment, we can say that the invoice and remittance notices will look different once the system is live, so don’t be alarmed by any changes you may see.

We will keep you informed in the coming weeks of any other changes you can expect to see when TechOne Finance launches.

Why the change is happening

Our current E5 finance system contract is coming to an end soon, therefore we have taken the opportunity to review requirements and find a finance system that suits user needs and provides an improved user experience for all.

Benefits of the new system include:

  • easier to use, meaning less time to complete activities and the ability to self-serve without support
  • improved financial reporting and coding
  • increased data compliance and resilience, data will be managed through one source of information rather than multiple spreadsheets
  • system upgrades and roll out meaning that the system will always be up to date
  • opportunities for future enhancements to bring further business benefits and efficiencies

What you need to do

At this stage you do not need to do anything differently, you can continue to send and pay invoices as usual. We will contact you directly if anything changes.
