A local authority search and a local land charge search are two different names for the same thing. They are a two-part search carried out when property or land is valued, purchased or leased.

A highway search is offered to personal search companies and private individuals.

Should you require highways information relating to a particular property or piece of land, we operate a fast and efficient personal search service delivered by a team of officers trained to interpret highways records and keep in constant contact with those responsible for instigating proposals to the highway network within Worcestershire.

Fees

An expedited service for CON29 enquiries

We now offer an expedited service for CON29 enquiries. If you require this service we will attempt to return all enquiries within 48 working hours if for reasons beyond our control this cannot be achieved within the 48 hours a full refund of the extra fee will be made.

Normal service for CON29 enquiries

We will aim to return searches within 10 working days, but please be aware that this may take longer and no responsibility with regards to the purchase of a property will be taken by Worcestershire County Council.

As from 1 April 2023 our standard fees for CON29 questions 2.1 to 3.12 will increase to £41.87 and the optional question 4b will increase to £12.93.

(Please note that 20% VAT is applied to these fees and totals £50.24 for questions 2.1 (a-d) to 3.12 and £15.51 for the Optional question 4b, incl. VAT respectively)

Our expedited fees will be:

Part 1 - £62.81 + VAT

Part 2 - £19.40- + VAT

Our CON29 Standard Fees will also increase from 1 April 2024 to:

Questions 2.1 to 3.12 - £46.06 + VAT = (£55.27)

The optional Question 4b - 'Road Proposals By Private Bodies' will be £14.22+VAT= £17.07

The Expedited Service fees offered for the more urgent CON29 responses will be:

£69.09+VAT = (£82.91)

Optional 4b 'Road Proposals By Private Bodies' will be £21.33+VAT= £25.60
