Emerging Minerals Local Plan: Where we are now

The Publication Version of the Minerals Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for Housing, Community and Local Government on 17 December 2019 for independent examination. The Secretary of State appointed Independent Planning Inspectors to assess the 'soundness' and legal compliance of the plan. More details of the examination process and timetable can be found on the Examination in public page.

Worcestershire County Council received the Inspectors’ Report on the Examination of the Worcestershire Minerals Local Plan on 6th May 2022. This concludes the independent examination of the MLP.

The Report and appendix may not be suitable for users for assistive technology. If you need any help with these documents please contact us at minerals@worcestershire.gov.uk. The Inspectors’ Report can also be inspected at County Hall reception (Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP), during normal office hours and at public libraries in Worcestershire.

Worcestershire County Council will now consider the Inspectors’ Report and whether to adopt the MLP with the recommended Main Modifications. A recommendation will be considered by Cabinet on 26 May 2022, followed by consideration at a full Council meeting on 14 July 2022.
