When there is a narrow footway, you can request for footway widening. However, please note that footways below 1.2 metres cannot always be widened especially when they are near street furniture, street lights, trees, sub-stations etc.

Before you start

• please note that you will be asked to answer qualifying questions which will determine the feasibility of your request, you will also be asked to provide any relevant information and mark the start and end points of the footway you would like to see widened on an interactive map
• if you would like to provide any additional information or supporting evidence such as photographs or maps there will be an opportunity to upload documents at the end of the online form
• once you have submitted your request the Minor Infrastructure Projects Team will respond to you within 10 working days
