Cycling, Walking and Wheeling
Worcestershire County Council is committed to enabling active travel and encouraging our residents and visitors to cycle, walk and wheel.
Worcestershire County Council is committed to enabling active travel and encouraging our residents and visitors to cycle, walk and wheel. We aim to reach the Government’s target of making active travel a natural first choice for many journeys, with half of all short urban journeys in our towns and Worcester City being cycled, walked or wheeled by 2030 and achieving net zero carbon by 2050.
Worcestershire’s Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs) for our key towns and city are under development. The LCWIP’s will build upon existing planning policies putting cycling and walking at the heart of Local Plan and place making.
