Worcestershire County Council is responsible, for example, for providing and maintaining roads, schools and facilities for managing household waste.

Infrastructure Strategy and Research

Worcestershire will change and grow over the next 20 years.

To help ensure it is funded and delivered in a co-ordinated and timely manner Local Authorities have a responsibility to provide a large proportion of the infrastructure that is needed to support our communities. Worcestershire County Council is responsible, for example, for providing and maintaining roads, schools and facilities for managing household waste.

District Infrastructure Delivery Plans

The Infrastructure Delivery Plans (IDP) will give details of the infrastructure that is required to support the growth set out in the Local Development Plans produced by the City, Borough and District Councils in Worcestershire.

It is envisaged that the information set out in the IDPs will be used to develop a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), and to inform and support negotiations with developers about site specific agreements to contribute towards their impact on local and strategic infrastructure.
