Works begin week commencing 16 June 2025 to remove the outdated blue corrugated unit and brick tower on the Shrub Hill Industrial Estate.

The demolition and site clearance will take up to eight weeks. For safety, temporary closures of the nearby footpath and parts of the road network will be in place. This includes a closure of the path from the main entrance of Shrub Hill Industrial Estate to the pedestrian crossing, which is also being upgraded as part of wider public realm improvements.

Clear signage and diversion routes will be in place to keep disruption to a minimum, and businesses in the area will remain open as usual.

The works are supported by the Government’s Brownfield Land Release Fund.
