Certificate production and services update
During the current restrictions we have had to bring forward the cut off for express certificates from 3:00pm to 12 noon. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Due to the current exceptional circumstances we cannot currently guarantee we will be able to despatch certificates within our normal 15-day timescale. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Note: Death certificates from recently registered deaths are not affected by this delay.

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Royal Mail have changed how they are delivering their special and signed for services.
Please read the updated information on their page, as delivery of your certificates will be affected by this.

Type of certificate issued
All certificates issued by Worcestershire Registration Service are known as 'certified copies of an entry'. This means that it is a legal copy of the registration contained within the Birth, Marriage, Death or Civil Partnership Register.
Birth certificates issued by Worcestershire Registration Services are the 'full birth certificate'. This is the one that includes parents' details and is used to obtain passports, open bank accounts, for Job applications, Driving licences etc. We no longer issue short birth certificates.

Cheques should be made payable to Worcestershire County Council.
Please be aware Self Addressed Envelope's (SAE's) or Return Business class envelopes are no longer accepted and cannot be used as a substitute to the payment of the service charges above. Any application received with the incorrect fee will be returned and any SAE's received by Worcestershire Registration Services will also be returned to you unused.
