Digital, cyber and IT

Digital technology has transformed modern life - would you like to contribute to future advancements?

Digital, cyber and IT

In Worcestershire there are lots of organisations that will advertise for computing and IT roles, and they could belong to other sectors as all businesses require IT and computing support.

The 6 local authorities, Worcester City, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Malvern Hills, Wyre Forest, and Wychavon all have many IT roles. Many of the NHS trusts will also offer these roles such as the Worcestershire Acute Hospital Trust who advertised in 2022.

The computing, technology and digital sector has an array of jobs. They vary from hardware and network jobs which involves installing, servicing, and monitoring networks for a business.

You will be working with hardware and software and fixing problems for customers over the phone or face-to-face. Software is used in technology from computers to phones to games, apps, or aeroplane navigation systems. All software must be designed, developed and tested and there are lots of different jobs in this area.

However not all jobs in the tech world are for techies. There are lots of jobs in IT and digital which require great people skills. For example, relationship management involves helping customers solve their technical problems.
