Chests of drawers

Chest of drawers

Good quality furniture can be offered to charities, who will often come and collect it.  Offer furniture for sale or reuse online as often people look for bargains to upcycle.  Some of the Household Recycling Centres have reuse containers which will take good quality furniture.

If the chest of drawers is made of wood, it can be placed in the wood container at any Household Recycling Centre  If it is made up of a number of materials (wood/fabric/metal) it will need to be placed in the general waste container.

Alternative you can book a bulky waste collection with your local council.  Please note: this is a chargeable service and the item will not be recycled.
