Overview

A Marketing Executive promotes the products, service or a brand of a company. They plan and develop promotional material, advertising campaigns and look for ways to increase the profits of the company. Need to be a team player and have drive and ambition to push advertising campaigns.

  • Investigate and analyse sales information
  • Arrange and oversee planning meetings and trade shows
  • Maintain databases and prepare reports
  • Responsible for all advertising campaigns
  • Support the Sales Team
Workplace

This role would be mostly office based and would require attending events such as trade shows where they could ‘market’ their goods.

Working Hours

37 to 39 hours per week full time. You may occasionally be required to work evening and weekends.

Salary

Starting salary: £20,000

Experienced salary: up to £35,000

Qualifications

There are various routes into this career including getting a degree and doing an apprenticeship. Generally, for both these routes you will need to have GCSEs at grades 4 or C or better in English and maths. You could also apply for an apprenticeship.

If you have an EHCP you may be able to apply under the DfE exemption which allows the apprentice to use Entry level 3 English and Maths qualifications. The apprentice would have to be component enough to successfully achieve all other aspects of the apprenticeship requirements, become occupationally competent and achieve Entry Level 3 in English and Maths before the end of their apprenticeship.
