Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support and The Graduated Approach/ Response in schools (professionals)

The Graduated Approach/Response is a key tool in ensuring young people with SEND get the right support in education. This free interactive workshop is designed to help professionals understand what makes The Graduated Approach/Response effective, how to engage in the process, and how to support a child’s needs.

Who is it for

This session is most relevant for professionals who are involved in the process of The Graduated Approach/Response.

What to expect

You should expect:

  • a step-by-step guide to The Graduated Approach/Response and the key components that make it effective.
  • how to develop a plan to ensure it reflects a child’s specific needs.
  • guidance on working with other professionals, to get the best outcomes.
  • the opportunity to ask questions.

Session details

This is a two-hour interactive workshop with discussion and practical exercises.

Takeaway

By the end of the session, professionals will feel more confident in using The Graduated Approach/Response to support children with SEND in their setting.

SENDIASS workshops are delivered in partnership with Learning Services Worcestershire.

Most of our workshops are subsidised by the Department for Education (DfE). They require us to collect information from learners to monitor how we use the funding they give us. After booking, you will need to provide extra enrolment data. We only collect necessary information and use it in line with the Worcestershire Learning Services privacy notice. Without this information, we may not be able to offer you a place. Your cooperation helps us to continue to provide our workshops for free, thank you.
