Spinach

Information
  • save the stalks from your spinach leaves and stir-fry them with soy sauce, sesame seeds and a touch of sesame oil, make sure they're still a bit crunchy when you take them out of the pan
  • if you wash spinach well in cold water, shake off as much water as you can and store in an airtight container in the fridge, it will keep fresh for longer
  • if you grow your own spinach or even if you happen to buy a lot for a good price, wash it, cut off the stalks and steam for 2 to 3 minutes
  • divide into plastic bags or containers and freeze
  • can be frozen for 6 to12 months and is easy to add to any pasta dish, mince, stews, soups etc.
