Japanese Knotweed

Japanese Knotweed

Japanese Knotweed should ideally be dealt with at the site of origin with specific weed killers.  As a last resort it can be taken to a Household Recycling Centre and placed in the general waste container where it will then be taken to the Energy Recovery Facility (EnviRecover).   All plants must be double bagged and you need to advise staff that you have Japanese Knotweed and it needs to go into the general waste container.

Do not put it in your brown garden waste bin or the garden waste container at an HRC
