Furniture

Good quality furniture can be offered to local charities, who will often come and collect it.  Offer furniture for sale or reuse online as often people look for bargains to upcycle.

Some of the Household Recycling Centre sites have reuse containers which will take good quality furniture. Soft furnishings need to have an up to date fire safety label.

If the furniture is made solely of wood, it can be placed in the wood container at any HRC.  Items made of a number of materials (i.e. wood/fabric/metal) will need to be placed in the general waste container.
