Carpets & rugs

Carpets cannot be recycled at home in your green bin. You may be able to donate reusable carpet to a local charity. Carpet can be used to help insulate compost bins and rabbit hutches during colder months.

Otherwise carpet needs to be taken to your local Household Recycling Centre to be put into the general waste container.
