Building waste

Building waste

If the waste has been generated by a builder doing work on your house, it is the responsibility of the builder to dispose of the waste.  Please make sure that the builder is disposing of your waste correctly as you may be held liable if the waste is fly-tipped.  See information on our Householder's Duty of Care page.

If you have generated the waste yourself please offer what you can for reuse or sale, especially cupboards, work tops, white goods or bricks/tiles.  If none of the waste is suitable for reuse please take to a Household Recycling Centre. If you are using a van to transport the waste to an HRC you will need a CVT Permit to prove that you are not a trader.

Please do not use a "man with a van" unless they can show you their Waste Carrier's License.  If the waste is fly-tipped you may be held liable.
