Household Waste Recycle Centres during COVID-19
A number of Household Recycle Centres (rubbish tips) will be open.
There will be restrictions in place
Before you Travel
Household Recycling Centres (HRC) are provided in Herefordshire and Worcestershire for the residents of the two counties to recycle and dispose of their household waste. The Commercial Vehicle and Trailer Permit Scheme is in operation at all Household Recycling Centres.
For individual site opening days and times please see individual pages. All sites are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

If you are not able to take your items to a Household Recycling Centre you can dispose of them in many ways:
- online reuse groups such as Freecycle (opens in a new window) or Freegle (opens in a new window)
- if they are in good condition some charities can collect, please see our Reuse Organisations page
- if they are not good enough to reuse the district councils do chargeable bulky waste collections - NB: the items are not recycled and there is a charge for this service - please contact your district council to arrange this
Do not use unlicensed waste collectors – see your responsibilities and the impact of you using unlicensed collectors
