Animal bedding/waste

Animal bedding & waste

Some bedding from vegetarian animals (e.g. rabbits) is compostable including paper litter and sawdust. Used animal bedding and animal waste should be bagged up and put into your black/grey waste bin.

Old dog beds that are in a good condition might be suitable for use by a local animal charity or could be offered for reuse or sale online. Otherwise these types of items would need to go into your black/grey bin waste bin or bulkier items can be placed in the general waste container at a Household Recycling Centre.
