Overview
Chauffeurs drive clients from place to place, making sure their journey is safe and comfortable, and that they arrive on time.

- Meet and greet clients
- Lift and store luggage carefully and safely in the vehicle
- Help passengers get in and out of the vehicle if required
- Research routes and provide journey information
- Drive clients to and from their destination
- Make sure that the vehicle is clean and well maintained for each job
Workplace
You could work from a vehicle or at a client's home.
You may need to wear a uniform.
Working Hours
Chauffeurs tend to work between 41 to 43 hours a week.
You could work irregular hours and work away from home when required. You could also work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Salary
Starting: £14,000
Experienced: £50,000
Qualifications
There are no formal qualifications required for a career as a Chauffeur. You will need a full, clean driving licence. You can apply directly for jobs if you've got a lot of experience, for example through working as a driver for the police, the armed forces or in the taxi industry.
