CEMEX UK Operations Ltd. is applying to Worcestershire County Council for planning permission for the above proposal. The development may affect the setting of Listed Buildings, Conservation Area, Scheduled Monument and Public Rights of Way. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The applicant is seeking planning permission to extract approximately 475,000 tonnes of sand and gravel in a total of 3 phases at an approximate rate of 300,000 tonnes per annum. 

Aggregates extracted from the site would be transported by barge to CEMEX`s operational facility at Ryall House Farm Quarry, for further processing and onward delivery to the construction industry. The land would be progressively restored using on site derived overburden and soils to wetlands, nature conservation and agriculture.
