Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (Malvern Hills District) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2013 (Variation) Order 2025 [Disabled Persons’ Parking Space & No Waiting (Proposals & Revocations) on A4104 Old Street, Upton Upon Severn] 

On 26 June 2025 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to create a disabled persons’ parking space on the following length of road in Upton Upon Severn:

Disabled Badge Holders Only (Revocation of existing Limited Waiting) 
Old Street, Upton (west side) - from a point 100.5m north of its junction with Backfields Lane for a distance of 6.6m in a northerly direction.

Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time on the following side and length of road in Upton upon Severn:-
No Waiting at Any Time (Revocation of the current Disabled Badge Holders Only).
Old Street, Upton (west side)- from a point 107.1m north of its junction with Backfields Lane for a distance of 6.6m in a northerly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 17 July 2025.

The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
