Over 25 of the county’s independent food and drink producers connected with buyers from across hospitality, retail and tourism at the first-ever Taste Worcestershire Producer & Buyer Event.
The event, which was held at Sixways Stadium on Tuesday 20 May, was created to strengthen local supply chains and give producers the opportunity to showcase their goods to decision-makers in the region.
More than 65 buyers attended, representing a mix of hotels, farm shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and visitor attractions.
Attendees engaged directly with producers from across the county and were able to sample small-batch spirits, locally brewed ales and Worcestershire-grown fresh produce.
Lorna Robinson, Visitor Economy & Destination Manager at Visit Worcestershire said: “It was absolutely fabulous to see so many meaningful connections being made – the energy in the room was fantastic.
This event was all about shining a light on the amazing produce we have right here in Worcestershire and giving our producers the platform they deserve to showcase themselves. From local spirits to bakers to fudge, it was a real celebration of quality, creativity, and collaboration.
We’re excited to build on this momentum as we head towards Taste Worcestershire in October – continuing to champion the county’s food and drink scene and helping our businesses grow.”
The event also marked the countdown for the return of Taste Worcestershire – a county-wide celebration of food and drink taking place in October 2025.
Running from 6 to 26 October, Taste Worcestershire will shine a spotlight on the county’s food and drink through exclusive menus, limited-time offers and producer spotlights – encouraging people to dine out and explore local flavours during a quieter period for hospitality.
Full details of the Taste Worcestershire October event – including new plans for 2025 – will be announced soon via Visit Worcestershire’s website and social media channels.
