Worcestershire County Council’s business support service, Worcestershire Growth Hub, has launched a series of free HR workshops for local employers.
Worcestershire Growth Hub is the county’s official business support service, offering advice, resources and connections to help local businesses thrive.
The new workshop sessions, in partnership with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, are open to all county businesses and aim to address key challenges around recruitment, retention, and workforce development.
The workshops have been shaped by feedback from Worcestershire businesses, with each of the seven sessions offering practical advice on tailored topics including action planning, inclusive practices, and closing skills gaps.
Sessions, starting in June, are designed to be practical, localised, and easy to implement, and will also provide networking opportunities with other Worcestershire employers.
Judy Gibbs, Worcestershire County Council’s Head of Skills and Employability said: “Starting from June, businesses will have the opportunity to access free advice and support in the areas they’ve told us they need. These sessions are designed to be easy, practical, and specific to Worcestershire businesses. Anyone attending should leave with practical guidance they can apply immediately in their own workplace, and the sessions will greatly aid them in terms of future workforce planning. It's important to us that businesses that call Worcestershire ‘home’ have the support they need to continue growing and succeeding, especially in a changing business landscape, which is why services like Worcestershire Growth Hub are essential.”
Delivered by HR professionals, the free, two-hour workshops aim to equip attendees with toolkits and templates tailored to their business goals. Sessions begin on Thursday 5th June and are free to attend, but places must be booked in advance via Eventbrite.
