Over 120 business representatives gathered this week for the Business Worcestershire Growth, Skills & Grant Support Conference, held to showcase the wide range of support available to help local businesses grow, innovate, and thrive.

Delegates at the event were inspired by award-winning Worcestershire entrepreneur Naomi Wachner, who shared her journey of growth through business coaching and mentoring. Naomi, the recipient of the 2025 Women Who Wins award, highlighted how the support has helped elevate her business to new heights.

Scott Garrett, director of SGM Music Group, also captivated the audience with his story of launching Vita Voice, a unique voice supplement developed through the Innovation Worcestershire programme. Now used by actors in West End shows, Eastenders, and Emmerdale, Vita Voice is a testament to the power of local business support and grant funding.

Councillor Alan Amos, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Business and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “It was a pleasure to attend the conference and hear first-hand the inspiring stories from businesses that have benefited from our support and grant programmes. Events like these truly showcase the breadth of assistance available across Worcestershire and the positive impact it's having on our local economy. I strongly encourage any business looking to upskill their workforce or explore funding opportunities to reach out and take advantage of the support on offer.”
