Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards return

The awards will be a chance for tourism and hospitality businesses to have their hard work recognised, with a glamorous evening of celebration to be held in March 2022.

The announcement comes during English Tourism week, and winners of the Worcestershire awards will also be automatically entered into the national awards to be recognised against other worthy winners in England.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills at Worcestershire County Council said: “We are incredibly proud of our Tourism and Hospitality sector in Worcestershire for its incredible resilience during a very difficult year for businesses, and we are excited to be able to celebrate them with the relaunched Worcestershire Tourism Awards.

“This is a great opportunity for businesses to show us their achievements in the last year, but also offers us the chance to celebrate this fantastic part of our economy, in style.

“It is fitting that we announce the return of the Worcestershire Tourism Awards during English Tourism Week, when we can truly say that we are here for tourism in Worcestershire.”

Businesses will be able to enter in into as many categories as they are eligible for and there will be 12 categories in total including Hotel of the Year, New Tourism Business Award and Resilience and Innovation Award.

Entries will open on 14 June 2021 and you will be able to enter through the Visit Worcestershire website.

The Worcestershire Tourism Awards are being held by Visit Worcestershire, in Partnership with Visit England and all winners of the Worcestershire Tourism Awards will be entered into the Visit England awards for a chance to represent the county at the national awards.
