The Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards will now be open for applications until 10 September 2021 after a busy summer period for tourism in the county.

Applications have been extended to allow tourism businesses more time to apply.

The awards are returning after a year away and with a brand new look, honouring the hard work and dedication that has been shown by tourism businesses within Worcestershire over a difficult 18 months.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, cabinet member with responsibility for Economy and Skills and Worcestershire County Council said, “We have been lucky to have a busy summer here in Worcestershire and our tourism businesses have been hard at work providing the best experiences for our visitors. I hope that the extended application time will encourage those busier businesses to apply for the awards, so that their success can be celebrated.”

The awards will be a chance for tourism and hospitality businesses to have their hard work recognised, with an evening of celebration to be held in March 2022.

Businesses will be able to enter into as many categories as they are eligible for with 12 categories in total including; Camping Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year,

Ethical responsible & sustainable award and Taste of Worcestershire.

The Worcestershire Tourism Awards are being organised by Visit Worcestershire, in Partnership with Visit England and all winners will be entered into the Visit England awards for a chance to represent the county at the national awards.
