After a surge in demand this summer, just 50 free BEAS energy reviews remain. With limited grant funding still available, businesses have a final chance to access expert support to tackle rising energy costs.
The Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) provides tailored reviews that uncover practical ways to save energy and cut expenses. After the review, eligible businesses can apply for grants of up to £100,000, helping them to reduce costs, streamline processes, and build long-term efficiency.
Companies such as RG Luma Automation have already benefited, identifying £19,300 worth of savings on their energy costs thanks to a BEAS review.
Councillor Alan Amos, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Business and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “We know energy costs are one of the biggest challenges facing local businesses right now. These reviews and grants give firms the chance to save money, become more efficient, and invest in infrastructure. It’s a fantastic opportunity that I’d encourage every eligible business to take advantage of while funding is still available.”
James Whitehouse, Business Director at RG Luma Automation, said: “This is an excellent and timely review that I would strongly recommend to any organisation serious about reducing energy consumption and driving down costs. It provides clear, practical insights that can make a real difference to both efficiency and sustainability.
To qualify, businesses must use 25,000 kWh or more of energy per year. Grants of between £1,000 and £100,000 are available to firms across Worcestershire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Telford & Wrekin, helping them cut overheads, boost efficiency, and strengthen long-term resilience.
With operational costs under pressure, a BEAS assessment provides a clear pathway for businesses to save money and secure a stronger future. With funding and reviews limited, businesses are urged to apply now before the opportunity runs out.
