Since April, more than 40 Worcestershire businesses have benefited from the latest round of Innovation, Elevate, and Enterprising Worcestershire grants.

Designed to spark growth, drive innovation, and create new jobs, the match-funded grants, ranging from £1,000 to £30,000, have helped businesses invest in equipment, marketing, product development, and expansion into new markets.

The three grant schemes are tailored to different business stages. Innovation Worcestershire supports the development and launches of new-to-market products, technologies, or services. Elevate Worcestershire helps established small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have been trading for three years or more to invest in growth, workforce expansion, and competitiveness. Enterprising Worcestershire (EW) is designed for early-stage businesses or start-ups trading for three years or less.

Councillor Alan Amos, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Business and Skills at Worcestershire County Council said: “It’s great to see so many local businesses making the most of this opportunity. These grants are designed to support innovation, drive growth, and help firms stay competitive. Whether you're just starting out or looking to scale, there’s tailored support available as we remain firmly committed to backing Worcestershire’s business community every step of the way.”

Each grant is awarded on a match-funded basis, meaning businesses contribute at least 60% of the project cost.
