Worcestershire has one of the fastest growing local economies in the country.

Being “Open for Business” remains a key priority and we are proud of what we have achieved this year.

As part of our goal of becoming an entrepreneurial county, we have continued to support businesses in Worcestershire and those relocating to the county. To date, 174 businesses have been issued grant funding and we have supported 243 businesses through coaching, workshops, decarbonisation reviews and peer-to-peer support.

We have continued to invest in Worcestershire’s digital infrastructure. This year we have expanded  our digital connectivity footprint further so that 97% of the county has access to superfast broadband.

In 2022, Worcestershire welcomed a staggering 17.3 million visitors, generating an impressive £939 million for the local economy. This marks a remarkable 26% increase in tourism value compared to 2021, providing a much needed boost for businesses.

We’re celebrating Worcestershire from A-Z this December. Read more by visiting the A-Z of Worcestershire webpage or following us on Facebook, Instagram or X.
