We have a robust flood response in place for when flooding hits the county.

We have a robust flood response in place for when flooding hits the county.

This includes many organisations working in partnership, around the clock, to keep strategic transport routes open and support residents and businesses.

2023 has seen multiple flood events in the county, during which our teams have worked tirelessly alongside partners including district councils, emergency services, the Environment Agency and Ringway to respond.

All aspects of a flood emergency response are fully co-ordinated, as is the following recovery and investigation work.

Flood response involves various organisations, including:

  • District councils
  • Environment Agency
  • Fire service
  • Police
  • Severn Trent
  • National Flood Forum
  • NHS
  • Local Resilience Forum
  • Worcestershire Regulatory Services
  • Canal & Rivers Trust
  • Met Office
  • Neighbouring LAs
  • Local community flood groups
  • Parish councils
