The Worcester pop up vaccination clinic at Brickfields is set to open again this month for people aged 18 and over to get a vaccination. There is no need to book, simply turn up to receive your first or second dose.

The Moderna vaccination is available, so those people who received their first dose of this vaccine (at least eight weeks ago) are particularly encouraged to attend this walk-in clinic.

The clinic at KVG Community Hub, Ash Avenue, Brickfields Road, Worcester WR4 9TL will be open on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 August from 9am to 7pm, and on Saturday 14 August from 9am to 2pm.

Public Health in Worcestershire, NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group and Worcester City Council are working together to make it easier and more convenient for people to get vaccinated.

Dr Kathryn Cobain, Director of Public Health for Worcestershire said: “Many of our Worcestershire residents have taken up the offer of a vaccine so far and I would like to thank everyone who has already done so.

“This walk-in clinic is now making it much easier and more convenient for more people to come forward to get vaccinated and we would especially like to encourage our younger residents to take this opportunity to get a jab. Vaccination is so important, not only because it protects the person receiving the vaccine, but it also helps to protect loved ones and the community.”

Simon Trickett, Chief Executive Officer for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG said: “With the lifting of restrictions last month it is more important than ever that all adults get their vaccine, to protect themselves and those around them.

“I am thankful to all partners and volunteers who are supporting to set up and run this ‘Grab a Jab’ clinic, helping us to make sure Worcestershire residents can have their first or second vaccination.”

Councillor James Stanley, Chairman of Worcester City Council’s Communities Committee, said: “We had a very good response from local residents when we last ran a pop up clinic in Brickfields in May, with over 500 people getting their first jab. All those people are now due their second dose, and this new pop-up clinic is an easy way for them to get it, so I would strongly encourage them to come along, along with anyone over 18 who has not yet had their first jab.”

You don't need to be registered with a GP to access the vaccination.
