Free decarbonisation reviews are on offer across Worcestershire in a bid to help support local businesses reduce their carbon emissions and cut energy costs.

The support, funded by Worcestershire County Council, is delivered by expert specialists, Pro Enviro. Up to 90 hours of support is available per business; the type of review offered will depend on the business’s requirements, size and the complexity of its projects.

Councillor Richard Morris, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Environment, said: “I am delighted we can offer this service to our local businesses. Having an understanding of carbon emissions and where they can be reduced could make a huge difference to a business’s carbon footprint, whilst potentially generating a cost saving. I would urge eligible businesses to take up the support on offer.”

Eligible businesses must operate within Worcestershire, be a small/medium size enterprise (including limited businesses), a sole trader or partnership and must have been trading over 12 months.

In addition to the reviews, businesses across the county can gain free access to Worcestershire’s Decarbonisation Portal. The portal enables businesses to actively track carbon spending and saving over a period. It also allows them to determine a baseline for carbon emissions, benchmark against similar businesses and easily report. Limited licences are available.
