The scheme was really useful in enabling us to create a role which we wouldn't have been able to recruit for without the support. The Council supplied us with invaluable help through the whole process and I would highly recommend them as a Gateway Provider.”

Mae added: “I am very thankful for the Kickstart Scheme as I got a job very quickly that I really enjoy and I am learning a lot in an amazing work environment.”

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said: “This scheme has done a fantastic job in helping us to build our county’s future workforce and to create 200 opportunities during a really challenging time. Finding the first step on the working ladder is often the hardest stage of your career and this scheme has given people much needed support to get started, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how this scheme has a positive effect on our local economy.”
