Virtual School safeguarding

Virtual School safeguarding

Safeguarding principles within the Virtual School.

Worcestershire Virtual School recognises its responsibilities for safeguarding children and protecting them from harm. We believe safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and our Safeguarding Policy has been developed in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. The policy is regularly reviewed by the Virtual School Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher, as well as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Gemma Brown, who can be contacted via:

  • email: gbrown@worcschildrenfirst.org.uk
  • phone: 01905 643588
  • by writing to: Worcestershire County Council, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP

Worcestershire Virtual School has 3 Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads; Matthew Stiles (The Virtual School Head Teacher), Kerry Lawrence (The Virtual School Deputy Head Teacher) and Jade Busby (Looked After Children Adviser and SEMH Lead), and our safeguarding governor is Jay Hart."
