Encouraging everyone to lead a healthy, active lifestyle supports the people in Worcestershire to live happy, prosperous and independent lives.

This year Public Health have continued to support Worcestershire residents to become more active, healthy and self-reliant in managing their health for as long as they can.

And there is already plenty to be proud of:

  • In Worcestershire the percentage of children achieving a good level of development at 2 and a half years is significantly better than the England average
  • 73.3% of 60- 74 year olds were adequately screened for Bowel Cancer. Higher than the West Midlands of average 68.7%
  • 81% of residents are satisfied with their local area as a place to live
  • Our drug and alcohol misuse service has a successful treatment rate that is higher than the national average
