School Transport Contribution update

Further to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and the uncertainty surrounding schools/colleges re-opening during the Summer Term, we will be suspending all payment requests for School and College transport, including termly and half termly payments, as well as the monthly direct debit scheme.

If schools re-open and transport resumes, we will contact parents/carers with revised payment schedules or payment requests.

Refunds

With regards to the closure of schools from Friday 20th March, where any payment has been made for the Spring Term or Spring 2 Half Term, we will automatically be issuing a 10-day refund either by card or cheque, depending on the original method.  Where an annual payment has been made we will also be looking to refund the Summer term part of the contribution, once we have a clearer idea of how long school closures may last.  However, please bear with us while processing these as unfortunately it is a manual process and due to the volumes involved this may take some time.

Where transport assistance is continued for vulnerable children or children of Key Workers, the above will still apply.

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL YOUR DIRECT DEBIT as it may be required in the future – we will not be taking any further payments while schools/colleges remain closed; you do not need to contact us about this.

We will continue to monitor the situation and take action accordingly.
