Woodland and Meadows Trails at Worcester Woods Country Park

Distance

0.5 mile / 0.8 km

Description

The Woodland Trail runs through the ancient and semi-natural Nunnery Wood Local Nature Reserve. This beautiful working woodland has veteran trees, a pond, an abundance of wildlife and wonderful displays of bluebells in the spring.

Terrain: Mostly flat, hard gravel surfaces. Suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. No gates or stiles.

The Meadow Trail traverses across the beautiful Hornhill Meadows Local Nature Reserve and orchard. Keep an eye out for the ancient ridge and furrow undulations in the fields and other evidence of the Hornhill Farmstead, which once dominated the site.

Terrain: level, unsurfaced (grass), has a number of large kissing gates and can be uneven and muddy in places. It may be suitable for robust pushchairs and smaller mobility scooters.
