Worcestershire ROWS Well
Published: Wednesday, 10th July 2019Great to see so many WWW businesses at the Dragon Boat Race on the river in Worcestershire on Sunday 7th July.
Worcestershire County Council Public Health Team (Severn
Army Nation) took on 27 other local teams to compete in Sunday’s Dragon Boat
Race on the River Severn in Worcestershire.
It supported our Public Health ethos around building
resilience “5 Ways to Well-being”
· Be Active: we all have the aching muscles
next day to prove that!!
· Keep learning: we all learnt new skills, and
how working together as a team brought great rewards
· Take notice: beautiful day spent on the river
bank in the sunshine, with our healthy picnics!!
· Connect: great opportunity for team building
and supporting the local community
· Give: all the money raised went to support
local charities
It was also great to see so many WWW accredited businesses
taking part: Qinetiq, Worcs Bosch, Halcrow and Mazak…to name a few.
An enjoyable day out for all concerned with a great family atmosphere. We were lucky with the sunshine and eventually to take 2nd place in the Plate Race.
Well
done to all the teams that took part…look forward to seeing you all next year
