Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service will be showcasing Worcestershire’s archives for this year’s Explore Your Archive.

The campaign, which runs 28 November to 6 December 2022, is in partnership with the Archives and Records Association.

Explore Your Archive encourages members of the public to visit the archives, uncover their past, and learn more about Worcestershire’s cultural heritage.

Members of the public can visit, follow @ExploreThePast on Twitter and #ExploreYourArchive during the campaign for more information.

An exhibition at The Hive, featuring selected archives chosen by staff and linked to The Hive’s theme of Migrating Communities, will run from 28 November to

16 December and will reveal what is unique and treasured about Worcestershire Archives magnificent collections. The exhibition forms part of The Hive’s Cultural Programme with Migrating Communities celebrating the cultural contribution that communities relocating to Worcestershire have brought to the county.

Councillor Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member for Communities at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The Hive’s Cultural Programme celebrates Worcestershire’s rich and diverse history. Explore Your Archive week is a great chance for members of our community to discover more about Worcestershire’s past.”
