Passengers of the popular 144 route will be able to continue their journey into Birmingham, after the County Council reached an agreement with bus operator National Express West Midlands.
First Bus recently announced changes to the 144 route, which would see the service stop at Catshill, and not travel onwards to Birmingham.
National Express will be running a service that will operate from Tuesday 3rd May.
This service will run between Bromsgrove, Catshill, Rubery and Longbridge, replacing the sections lost from the changes to First Bus’ 144 service.
Passengers on the 144 will now be able to change buses at Bromsgrove Bus Station and travel onwards to Rubery and Longbridge, where they may connect to frequent services onward to Birmingham.
The service will run Monday to Saturday on an hourly frequency and a timetable will be released shortly.
This arrangement will last for the next six months whilst the County Council review the network and reach a longer term solution.
