The County Council is still inviting local organisations and charities to become a key part of the refreshed Here2Help service.

The County Council is still inviting local organisations and charities to become a key part of the refreshed Here2Help service.

Moving forward, Here2Help aims to build on its existing foundations to provide help, support and guidance to residents across all services, and create a Community Directory.

This means residents can use the Here2Help page to search for community groups, organisations and charities in their local area.

As a result, the County Council is looking for local organisations, charities and businesses who would like to register their services on the new directory.

Councillor Matt Dormer, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Communities at Worcestershire County Council, said: “Following its launch in 2020 in response to Covid-19, the Here2Help service has provided a range of support to over 5,000 individuals and we’re really excited to see the service evolve and transform as we go forward.

“This is why it’s really important that we have as many local charities, organisations and community groups across the county sign up to our new directory, as we want our residents to be able to connect with their local community.

“This additional service will be beneficial to the community, however the key priority of Here2Help has always been to make sure those who have been directly affected by Coronavirus, receive the help and support they need and we will continue to do that.”

As part of the Here2Help service, the County Council is also in the process of developing a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Hub.

If you’re a charity, community group or business that provides services to the residents of Worcestershire, you can find out more about how you can register your services on the Here2Help pages on the County Council website.

There is also an opportunity for Worcestershire residents to be part of the resident focus group that meets regularly to help shape the service.

If you or your organisation would like to get involved, then visit the Here2Help pages of the County Council website to find out more and to register your interest.
