The notice of election ahead of this year’s County Council elections has been published today (22nd March).

The notice of election is available to view on the dedicated Elections pages of the County Council website.

This means the county is now in a pre-election period from today up until polling day on May 6.

Abraham Ezekiel, Returning Officer for Worcestershire County Council, said: ”Publishing the notice of election means the pre-election period once again begins in earnest and the countdown to polling day on May 6th is on. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff, officers and candidates for their work ahead of delivering a Covid secure election so far and as we look ahead to polling day.

I’d also like to remind prospective candidates to submit their nominations as ahead of the deadline as you can, and ensure your submission is checked by officers at your local district council.”

Nominations for standing for elections are open until 4pm on Thursday 8th April.

You can download the Nomination Packs in full by visiting the dedicated Elections pages of the County Council website

The dedicated pages of the Council website also highlight what needs to be completed and submitted as part of the nomination pack and process.
